What is Post Frame Construction
Post Frame construction is a method of building, using load bearing columns or “posts”, buried in the ground, typically spaced 8’-10’ apart. This eliminates the need for a concrete foundation and reduces your concrete costs, also giving you the option to add a concrete floor after your structure is built. Truss support headers are attached to the weight bearing posts. The engineered wooden trusses can then free span the entire width of your building, eliminating the need for any bearing walls inside your structure, and leaves you with options to customize the floor plan layout after the building shell is completed.
